Invisalign Treatment

Invisalign Treatment Process

Invisalign treatment is a modern orthodontic solution designed to straighten teeth using a series of custom-made, clear aligners. The treatment process is carefully planned using advanced digital technology to ensure precise, predictable, and comfortable tooth movement.

The process generally consists of two main stages.

  1. Consultation, Digital Records and Treatment Planning

Approximate duration: 45 – 60 minutes

The Invisalign journey begins with a detailed consultation with our dentist. During this appointment, the doctor evaluates the patient’s dental condition, bite relationship, and overall smile aesthetics.

Following the consultation, professional intraoral and extraoral photographs are taken to document the current dental condition. Afterward, a digital 3D scan of the teeth is performed using advanced scanning technology. This process replaces traditional impressions and allows for a highly precise digital model of the patient’s teeth.

Using this digital data, the doctor prepares a step-by-step digital treatment plan through the official Invisalign software platform. This plan shows how the teeth will gradually move week by week throughout the treatment process.

Once the digital design is finalized and approved, the treatment plan is sent to Invisalign’s production facilities in the United States, where the custom aligners are manufactured.

  1. Aligner Delivery and Treatment Follow-Up

Aligner production time: approximately 3 – 4 weeks

After the aligners are manufactured, they are shipped to our clinic. This process usually takes approximately 3 to 4 weeks.

Once the aligners arrive, the patient is scheduled for an appointment to begin the treatment. During this visit, the doctor carefully prepares the teeth for aligner therapy and places small composite attachments, commonly referred to as “attachments” or “buttons.” These small elements help the aligners apply precise forces to guide the teeth into their correct positions.

At the same appointment, the patient receives their custom aligner sets along with detailed instructions on how to wear and care for them.

The first follow-up appointment is usually scheduled approximately one month later to evaluate the progress of the treatment and ensure that the aligners are working effectively.

Subsequent control appointments are then scheduled periodically, depending on the individual treatment plan and the patient’s progress.
