How do we lose teeth?
Tooth loss usually emerges gradually and is frequently controlled with good care. The most prevalent cause is gum disease, which harms the tissues and bone that support the teeth. If untreated, this can lead to tooth mobility and eventually tooth loss.
Another common cause is untreated tooth decay. When cavities penetrate deeply into the tooth and surrounding structures, the tooth may become hard to recover.
Teeth can also be lost owing to trauma, severe fractures, or prolonged wear. Regular dental check-ups and basic oral hygiene are vital for protecting teeth and keeping a healthy smile.
